MY JOURNEY IN MEDICINE
Jan 27, 2024
1) Journey as Medical student
Embarking on Journey as a Medical student in Medicine field has been challenging yet rewarding with lots of learning so far and it would continue.
First day when I took a case as a student till upto date the change from within is experienced by me in perspective that I have learnt the aspect and importance of a detailed history taking and digging into one's life so as to know what really happened, what needs to be done in a way that it can help patients.
As a student when I first saw cell under microscope it was astonishing and now I can understand the pathology behind the disease.
The first day on my medicine internship on 1/12/2023 was a ride of roller coaster with lots of patients seen in opd particularly of cervical pain, acute gastroenteritis, acute pharyngitis, upper respiratory tract infections. And then admissions of GTCS, AKI, Viral pyrexia. Lot of knowledge gained. Since then this journey has been continuing.
I have interacted with lot of patients and trying to understand their problem and provide them with solution. This helped me in improving my communication skills.
This journey of knowing patients complaints, diagnosing them and treating them in best way possible along with experienced and efficient professionals has helped me in growing in all dimensions as a better health care provider.
